Hero Imagery & Design System Overhaul
I lead the initiative to overhaul our Homepage Hero Imagery, to take it from a lackluster treatment to an aspirational brand moment for our customer. I guided the designers in a future state exploration, creating a few of the aspirational treatments myself with the guidance of our executive creative director. We created a roadshow deck to bring along our merchandising teams, whose buy-in and partnership we needed. Since this required additional effort from our strategic partners, we used this deck to inspire them of what the site COULD look like, as well as specific do’s and don’ts to enable our non-designer partners to better provide us with the type and quality of imagery that we needed. This initiative was well received from our merchandising partners, was immediately adopted, and created a dramatic improvement in the quality of our Hero Placements on our site within two weeks of launch. An unexpected benefit of this initiative was an increase of engagement on our Production Design team, with a renewed sense of ownership and pride in their work.

Stakeholder/partner communication
I lead the communication efforts with our stakeholders and partners, knowing that a large part of the success of this project depended on partnering with our Merchandising and Site Merchandising Teams. We inspired them with an improved customer experience and brought them along in their role in the process change. This was accomplished by both bringing along key partners along the way, creating a roadshow deck, and then I presented our new approach to our 400+ merchandising org at a merch all hands. Select slides from the roadshow deck are shown below.
